The Association of British Airsoft aims to boulster the sport's professional backing by ensuring players, sites and retailers are all working together to keep the sport safe and ensure that its responsibilities within the community it operates are met.
The AOBA now offers retailers the opportunity to join us in our quest to keep airsoft a legal and safe sport within the UK. By registering your business with the AOBA; you'll be showing your comitment to providing responsible airsoft trading.
Identifying a Legitimate Player
Identifying a player will always be reliant on the information the player provides - At the AOBA; we believe that this information can and is often misused and sometimes given in a misleading way for the purchase of RIFs.
All of our members are issued with a plastic, photo membership card which has been specifically developed provide an adequate way of verifying whether a player is a registered airsoft skirmisher. Membership cards can be instantly verified using our online database.
AOBA and UKARA
The Association of British Airsoft aims to boulster the existing UKARA scheme, by providing a secure, reliable and always up-to-date database of players that are legitimately verified as members of Airsoft Skirmish Sites. Players register in a similar way to UKARA, however a fee is payable by them along with age verification and proof of address.
Unlike UKARA which is funded by the likes of yourselves, the AOBA is funded by the players. All active players within our database are check to confirm they play at an insured airsoft site and are issued with photographic identification. Plus; all of our members are monitored for their behaviour within the sport and should anybody raise concerns about a member's conduct; we'll investigate immediately.
